Founder story

Built from a promise that slipped.

Oltrex began because Shaurya Jain kept losing small promises between work and life—not because they mattered less, but because they never entered a system. He built the first version as one button that caught the promise when it was spoken.

Shaurya has 7+ years building production AI and data systems and holds an MS in Computer Science from Rutgers University.

Is Oltrex always listening?
No. A voice capture begins only when you start it. Oltrex is not an ambient recorder.
What happens after I record?
Oltrex saves the recording and transcript, identifies possible tasks, and asks which ones you want to keep.
What if it hears something incorrectly?
You review what Oltrex extracted. Keep the right items, discard anything wrong, and choose when a kept task belongs.
Do I need to connect my calendar?
No. Capture and tasks work without it. Calendar connection enables availability-aware planning.
Can it read email, make calls, or move money?
Not in the current release. Google access is Calendar-only. Oltrex does not make calls or handle payments.
What does Oltrex cost?
The current iPhone and iPad release is free. Any future pricing will be published before charges begin.
